Mossyard Farm
Mossyard has been farmed by the McConchie family since 1911. We, Murray and Amy are 4th generation, our children Marney and Maeve, 5th generation. Murray's parents Kerr and Caroline gifted us the farmland at Mossyard in 2015 as part of a larger succession plan. We have been passionately expanding the business ever since!
As a small family farming enterprise of around 400 sheep, 100 cows and a variety of purebred pig, we have established and grown a holiday accommodation business, 3littlehuts and Coastal Cottages alongside the farm that helps provide a steady income to the business as a whole allowing us to continue to farm the land as it has been in previous generations.
We opened the farm shop in July 2023. It is stocked with our own Aberdeen Angus Beef, Cheviot Lamb and a variety of free range pork breeds all reared here on the farm. We sell fair trade takeaway coffee and a variety of local and Scottish produce. All home baking products are made in our farm shop kitchen. Our savoury treats are made using meat from the farm.
